Plastic Food Containers

We are always looking ways into saving money, well with plastic food containers you can save money by not having to always buy zip lock bags or waste saran wrap to always cover up your meals because these plastic containers are reusable and inexpensive. You can never go wrong when you have one of these containers because they organize your refrigerator; maintain food longevity, save money, affordable and even stack-able.

There are a lot of ways to utilize your food containers. If you’re cooking food and you have left over uncooked food like meat or chicken you can easily throw them into a container and cover it up and place it into the freezer so it doesn’t go bad. Does that mean that you’re going to have to buy a lot of containers? Yes, because they are cheap to start out with, my refrigerator is filled with plastic containers and it looks a lot more organize without them.

When I make my lunch I normally have at least 3 containers with me. The first container would have my cut up fruits/vegetables. The second container would have a main portion like meat, chicken, tuna or whatever. The third container would have just plain rice, fried rice or whatever. Of course they offer plastic containers with dividers where you can separate all your portions but you can only put very few due to space of the container. Doing it my way I can bring more food with me and sometime I have a buddy who wants to try out my food so I would have enough food for both of us.

1) You have left over food. When making food we tend to make a lot and when everyone is done eating, there tend to be a lot left over. Food tends to spoil when exposed to the air, so with plastic food storage containers you can keep your food to limit the air that surrounds it. Of course they have bags that eliminate all the air in it but they are hard to reuse for long period.

2) Always on the go. This means that you’re always busy doing something and you don’t even have much time to eat. A lot of times people end up going to fast food restaurants which not only is unhealthy for you but it gets expensive as well. By having these plastic containers you can easily store food and take it with you when you heading out of the house everyday.

3) Cheap. Most plastic containers that are small mainly used for food don’t go more than $3 unless you want the bundle package or the special dividers where you can separate your food varieties.

4) Saves Money. We know that eating at home is cheaper than going out and eating at a restaurant, but we only eat at home during breakfast if we have time or dinner. During lunch many people don’t go home to make a meal, so they end up eating out somewhere that is closer than going home which can be costly overtime. With a food container you can always pack your own lunch that way you can save tons of money and always eat food you made at home.

Plastic food container is something I definitely can’t live without. Have you ever felt so limited as far as what you can bring with you whether it is to school or work when you pack your own lunch with just a zip lock bag or saran wrap? I remember my days when I was back in elementary when my mom packed lunch for me and every time it always consist of a sandwich, a fruit, a bag of chips, and a little treat in it. I never had a lunch where I had a real meal with like rice with steak or chicken or fried rice because it would be hard to eat out of in a zip lock bag. Today I don’t ever leave the house without one packed with left over dinner the day before.

I normally buy my plastic food containers at the dollar tree store which I’m not sure if they have that store everywhere, but even at places like Walmart or your discount superstore should sell them. If you look online at the prices of the food containers you can see a lot of them don’t run over 2 dollars so you can easily get a bunch of them.

Also there are bundle packages where you get like 49 containers for under 20 dollars is something that saves even more money. That's pretty much containers for under 50 cents each. Just keep your eyes open for offers around to save the most money you can.
