Dvi cable where the DVI stands for digital visual interface helps supply a high visual quality on your digital devices such as your computer, HDTV, LCD and/or anything you can watch visual on your devices at home or businesses. Dvi-D where the d stands for digital and its dual link cable pretty much also connects to two monitor as well. Dvi-A where the A stands for analog and doesn’t work with Dvi-D port. The computers you had before normally should have a universal socket Dvi-I which fits any of these cables but your monitor doesn’t necessary have the same universal socket so look out for that. Nowadays your computer should have a Dvi-D digital port because they don’t do Dvi-A anymore because they are only used to dvi to a vga port for dual monitor purpose.

Dvi cable are not that expensive and they are useful if you want to connect your visual devices together depending on which port or socket they have you will have to make sure the cable matches the right port by looking at the pins or the name of the cables. You don’t have to necessary get dvi cables depending on what your HDTV port contains, you might go with hdmi dvi cable or hdmi to dvi cable. If you go online you have tons of videos that show what kind of devices people are connecting together with and even show you which each port does. When deciding to buy these dvi cables make sure you buy the right one and I wouldn’t recommend buying it online since it’s already cheap as it gets, so you may be paying more due to shipping and handling.

With dvi cable I like to do dual monitor function and connect two monitors together and it’s interesting because you can literally drag your browser from one monitor and bring it to another monitor and on top of that you can have 2 browsers up at the same time and read both of them on both computers. I generally call this multitasking but it is fun just to have something different that you normally don’t see on a day to day basis.

Overall the dvi cable since they aren’t that expensive I wouldn’t give it a negative comment on it only if you buy the wrong cable and don’t really know how to really use it than that wouldn’t be good. Just keep your options open and see the possible ways dvi cables are used and how other people use them to connection devices you probably never even seen before that are connected.

People out there do some really amazing things and sometime you have to see it to know what to do with it. Just make sure before you think about buying one, make sure your device actually have a dvi-I port or what not and even if it doesn’t, I’m sure there are converters out there that can convert your device to be compatible with the dvi cable.
